ProviDRs Care Network Providers,
Please review the detailed information below concerning our EDI vendor connections and payer statuses following the February 2024 cyberattack on Change Healthcare.
EDI Vendor Connection Status
Below is the current status of our EDI vendor connections for provider claim submission to ProviDRs Care Network:
- Optum-Change Healthcare EDI (Payer ID 48100): Connection reestablished and live as of June 28, 2024.
- Benefit Administrative Systems (BAS): Connectivity established.
- Emdeon: Connectivity established.
- First Health: Connectivity established.
- Gateway EDI: Connectivity established

Ongoing Updates
We are actively working to resolve any remaining connectivity issues and restore normal operations. Our IT and security teams are collaborating closely with all stakeholders to expedite this process.

Important Notice: Impact of Change Healthcare Cyberattack on Claim Processing and Payments
Regarding the February 2024 cyberattack that affected Change Healthcare, which has affected the transmission, processing, and payment of claims handled by ProviDRs Care Network and our partner Third-Party Administrator’s.
Impact on Claims:
- Due to the cyberattack, you may experience delays in:
- The transmission of claims to ProviDRs Care Network for repricing,
- The transmission of repriced claims to our Payers (TPA’s).
- The processing of repriced claims by the Payers (TPA’s).
- The issuance of payments from Payers (TPA’s) to providers.
What This Means for Providers:
Please anticipate longer-than-usual wait times for claim acknowledgments and payments.
Our support team is available to assist with claim repricing status and connectivity updates regarding pricing transmission to Payers as available.
Providers currently utilizing Change Healthcare / Emdeon as their preferred EDI vendor are advised to consider an alternative vendor from the list available here: https://providrscare.net/edi-vendor-connectivity-list/. Please contact us at 800-801-9772 ext. 7008 to advise of the alternate EDI vendor selection and assistance to facilitate the connectivity.
Providers rendering services for patients with the following payers as identified on the patient ID card will experience payment delays as alternate connectivity is established between ProviDRs Care Network and Payer, as well as between the Payer and the provider.

What This Means for Members:
Claims for recent healthcare services might take additional time to process. If you are billed by provider prior to receiving an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from the Payer, refrain from paying the billed until it has been confirmed by your provider that insurance response has been received and member responsibility has been validated.
If you have any questions regarding your benefits, please contact the payer at the phone number listed on your ID card.
What This Means for Payers:
Claim repricing from ProviDRs Care Network may be delayed. We are working diligently to minimize disruption and reestablish connectivity as quickly as possible.
Please contact ProviDRs Care Network at 800-801-9772 ext. 230 to establish an alternate connectivity method for transmission of claim pricing.
