Unless otherwise stated in the contract, all hospitals are required to provide at least 60 days advanced written notice prior to any rate or chargemaster increases. Annual maximum increases are limited to no more than three percent (3%) each calendar year (January 1 – December 31).
Hospitals who do not supply the required information by the aforementioned deadline will be subject to a claims audit. Future reimbursement may be adjusted to offset any rate increases identified.
